VIKRAM-BALA-LINGU Joins?

                N.Lingusamy's home production Thirupathi Brothers will be producing the film directed by Bala and starring Chiyaan Vikram. Reports say that the Vettai director always wanted to associate with Bala and it is finally happening with the forthcoming untitled project.

             The production house sources are tight-lipped about the details and it is only after the release of Bala's next film Paradesi, the news on this project is expected to be out. Earlier, it was said that PVP Cinemas had come forward to produce the film but now it has opted out of this film, thereby making way for the Thirupathi Brothers to take up the responsibility of producing the flick. 

              It has to be noted that the combo of Bala and Vikram had earlier delivered blockbusters like Sethu and Pithamagan. The filmmaker has also worked with Vishal Krishna in his last film Avan Ivan.

                However, Bala is now gearing up for the release of his Pardesi starring Adharvaa, Dhansika and Vedhika. Whereas, Vikram is busy with Shankar's 'I'.

VISHWAROOPAM Collections

Vishwaroopam collections of first day is 5.86 crores

        Actor filmmaker Kamal Haasan's 'Vishwaroopam' raked in some Rs.5.81 crore on the day it released in Tamil Nadu.

"Since it opened in theatres Thursday, the (collection is) expected to increase over the weekend," trade analyst Trinath told IANS. The film, written, produced and directed by Kamal Haasan, released Feb 7 in over 600 theatres in Tamil Nadu.

              The Rs.95 crore espionage thriller was originally scheduled to release in Tamil and Telugu Jan 25 but it got banned following protests by Muslim groups. The ban was later lifted.

                   'Vishwaroopam' narrates the story of a Muslim Indian agent living in the US in disguise, on a secret assignment to stop a probable terror attack.

Cast:  Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur, Rahul Bose and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The film's Hindi version, 'Vishwaroop', released worldwide Feb 1. It collected Rs. 11.55 crore in its opening weekend!

Now Tamil actors Jiiva and Vijay to attend 'Onbadhula Guru's audio launch

         The latest update on the launch of PT Selvakumar's 'Onbadhula Guru' is that Tamil actor Vijay will also be attending it.

          This movie is a romantic comedy starring actors Vinay, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali and Premji.

            Also director Shankar will be joining Vijay in the event. Filmmaker PT Selvakumarr used to be a favourite for Vijay and Jiiva when he was a PRO. Also actress Anushka Shetty will also be at the launch.

            A star studded event, this audio launch is to take place on February 12 at Devi Cinemas.

          Also, Sun TV has acquired the satellite rights for 'Onbadhula Guru'.

                 Vijay's next with director Vijay is currently the talk of the town. The film has been titled 'Thalaiva'.Since the release of the film's poster, there have been many discussions among the audience if the film is all about politics. Also there have been talks which said that Vijay would be doing a role of a politician. A reason for this could likely be Vijay's desire in political life.
